About Reflections Therapy

Helping the Helpers Heal

Meet Katie, Founder of Reflections Therapy

Hi, I’m Katie Kadane. I started Reflections Therapy because I kept meeting people who were always “the strong one.” They were the first to show up for everyone else, but the last to feel seen themselves. I wanted to create a space where they didn’t have to be in crisis to deserve care.

My approach to therapy is personalized, steady, and deeply respectful. I meet you where you are. Whether you are navigating trauma, burnout, numbness, or just feeling stuck, you won’t be expected to figure it out alone. I’m here to listen without judgment and to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been pushed aside for too long.

I’m a licensed professional counselor with a background in Christian counseling, and I hold certifications in EMDR and Military Resilience. I also offer premarital counseling as a certified SYMBIS facilitator. I use an eclectic blend of talk therapy, mindfulness, movement, and psychoeducation because healing is not one-size-fits-all. Every person is different, and your therapy should reflect that.

Why Reflections Therapy?

The name of this practice came from a deep belief that reflection is where healing begins. It reminds us that we don’t need to run from our pain—we can face it with gentleness and support.

The lotus flower inspires this philosophy. It begins in muddy, murky waters, closed off from the light. But in time, it rises and opens, revealing something resilient and beautiful. That is how I see my clients. Even if life feels heavy or unclear, your strength and beauty are still there. Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It is about finding your way back to who you truly are.

My Approach

  • Calm, judgment-free sessions tailored to your emotional capacity
  • Integration of movement, breathwork, and grounding when helpful
  • EMDR and trauma-informed care when deeper healing is needed
  • Clear emotional tools without pressure or homework
  • Rooted in curiosity, never assumption

This Space Is for You If:

  • People count on you, but support often feels out of reach.
  • Hard experiences have shaped you, even if you rarely speak about them.
  • Holding it together has become your default, even when everything feels heavy inside.
  • Now, you are ready for support that moves at your pace and honors your story.

You Do Not Have to Do This Alone

Whether you are ready to begin therapy now or still figuring out what you need, I am here when you are ready. You do not have to be in crisis to deserve care. You just have to be open to the possibility that healing is possible, even for you.
