In-person and online therapy available in Denton, Texas

For the ones who are always carrying something.
Hi, I am Katie Kadane. I started Reflections Therapy because I kept meeting people who were always the strong one, the steady one, the person others leaned on. They showed up at work, at home, and in the moments no one noticed, but they rarely had a place where they could be the one supported.
I wanted to create a space where you do not have to be in crisis to deserve care. A space where the weight you have been holding can be named gently, understood fully, and set down at a pace that feels safe.
You do not need perfect words to begin.
My approach to therapy is personalized, steady, and deeply respectful. I meet you where you are. Whether you are navigating trauma, burnout, anxiety, numbness, relationship strain, or the quiet ache of feeling stuck, you will not be expected to figure it out alone.
Therapy here is not about forcing everything open. It is about helping your mind and body feel steady enough to release what has been too heavy to keep carrying by yourself.

The lotus reminds us that healing can rise from heavy places.
The name Reflections Therapy came from a belief that reflection is often where healing begins. Not harsh self-analysis. Not pressure to fix yourself. A quieter kind of reflection: the moment you are allowed to pause, look inward with gentleness, and notice what you have been carrying.
The lotus flower carries that same meaning. It begins in muddy, murky water, closed off from the light. In time, it rises and opens. That is how I see my clients. Even when life feels heavy or unclear, your strength and beauty are still there. Therapy is not about becoming someone else. It is about finding your way back to who you truly are.
Clinical tools matter. Your pace matters more.
I am a licensed professional counselor trained in EMDR, Somatic Therapy, Emotional Regulation/Tapping (EFT), Military Resilience, and SYMBIS premarital counseling. Those tools matter, but they are not the center of the work. The center is you: your pace, your story, and the weight you have been carrying.
Steady Support
Calm, judgment-free sessions tailored to your emotional capacity, without pressure to move faster than you are ready.
Whole-Person Care
Talk therapy, grounding, breathwork, movement, somatic support, and emotional regulation tools when they are helpful.
Deeper Healing
Trauma-informed care and EMDR support when old experiences are still showing up in your body, relationships, or sense of self.

You do not have to keep carrying this alone.
Whether you are ready to begin therapy now or still figuring out what you need, I am here when you are ready. You do not have to be in crisis to deserve care. You just have to be open to the possibility that healing is possible, even for you.
